Description:Platy green-gray amesite crystals with silky surface luster over dark metallic magnetite. The specimen was originally labeled as corundophilite but was corrected to amesite on the bottom in ink, and supported by the hardness being greater than 2.5. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School
